After a couple of days of hinting and things I finally convinced Mum and Jeff to take me (and a bored looking Stu) to a garden centre! I love the garden centre in question, however it’s not exactly a cheap one, so I like to check out the reduced/end of season section! I did this yesterday and found a tray of four primulas for 99p! Nice!
When I got home I potted them up. Three of them went in together as they are all dark red, but the pink one brought the earlier reported joy! Upon inspection, I noticed that there was a small purple plant, which I separated from the main plant…….only to discover a third, all be it teeny tiny, plant attached to this! All plants are now potted, and I’m quite pleased with my 6 for 99p plants!
In other news, I wanted to get compost while I had Jeff and the car to carry stuff about for me, so we went off to Homebase. They are currently doing 4 grow bags for £5 and it’s quite nice stuff too. I was fairly impressed, as the last few cheaper bags I’ve bought have been bloody awful! I mean I know you get what you pay for, but some of them have been more a bag of wood chippings or straw!
